Welcome to Catholic Girl Journey! My name is Karen Cecilia and as of 2019, I am a parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel in Glen Allen, Virginia. I spent the first 48 years living in Pennsylvania and 22 of them as a parishioner of St. Isaac Jogues in Wayne, PA. I love learning more about my faith and find that my experiences in life help me to see different aspects and perspectives of the faith. I had 16 years of Catholic schooling in the Philadelphia area, but by no means am I an expert! My intention is to share a weekly post on Wednesdays with something that I have pondered.
For those wondering about the logo, I created it using a picture I took of a stained-glass window in a Church in Israel. I enjoy traveling, both on pilgrimages as well as just vacation. In addition to learning more about my faith, I also enjoy baking, spinning yarn and knitting, so don’t be surprised if some of my examples come from my hobbies.
This blog is a result of much introspection, inspiration and nudging from God. I hope that sharing my thoughts will encourage others to enter more deeply into their relationship with Him. May God’s peace and blessings be with you.
